China unveils ‘game-changing’ CH-5

State television in China has revealed the existence of a new CH-5 UCAS, a new type of platform equipped with a sense-through-the-wall radar.

China Central Television (CCTV) on 30 August claimed that the CH-5, the latest generation in a family of armed UAVs, ‘recently’ conducted a maiden 20-minute test flight in Gansu Province.

Manufacturer China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) declared on the TV clip that the CH-5 would ‘change the game in airstrikes’.
