AUVSI 2016: UMS Skeldar get flight approval across Norway

Norway has granted UMS Skeldar the right to conduct commercial operations countrywide, excluding certain restricted areas such as airports and urban areas. This approval extends to BVLOS operations.

Following a series of demonstration flights in collaboration with Nordic Unmanned, UMS Skeldar and its partner will be able to perform missions like infrastructure monitoring and survey across Norway, and officials also say there could be potential for similar agreements in other European territories in future.
