AUVSI 2016: CybAero touches down on Swedish corvette
CybAero and Airbus Defence and Space (DS) have successfully teamed up to perform a test launch and recovery of the Apid One VTOL UAV from a Swedish Visby-Class stealth corvette.
Airbus DS provided its Deckfinder precision landing system which can be utilised for both manned and unmanned aircraft.
The test was carried out on the 28 and 29 April with a total of ten start and landings being conducted in wind condition of up to 15 m/s with the corvette moving at speeds of up to 25kts.
