Autonomous naval assets on the horizon

After two years of planning the UK’s Unmanned Warrior event is underway off the west coast of Scotland and Wales and while the event was not intended to be a procurement opportunity for the Royal Navy (RN) there can be no denying that autonomous and unmanned systems will be part of future operations.

The event bought numerous industry and military partners together to showcase a range of unmanned systems in a dedicated seascape which involved many firsts including the use of Watchkeeper in the maritime domain.
