AUSA 2016: VTOL meets fixed-wing (video)
Textron Systems is showcasing its Hybrid-quad Aerosonde variant at AUSA 2016 in Washington DC ahead of testing to both military and commercial customers in October. The hybrid-quad combines the vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities of a multi-rotor platform with the Aerosonde SUAS fixed-wing aircraft.
Shephard spoke with David Phillips, Vice President of Small and Medium Endurance UAS at Textron, about the VTOL capabilities.
