An unnamed Asian country will receive five Skystar 330 systems that will be put to use in an ISR role, as well as communications applications.

Disclosing the deal exclusively to Shephard, manufacturer RT LTA Systems said the five systems will be equipped with a Controp DSP payload. The Skystar 330, well suited to border control duties, is the newest aerostat produced by the company.

RT LTA disclosed that the all five systems should be delivered by the end of 2016.

The Skystar 330 tactical aerostat is designed to provide its users with persistent, medium-long range, real-time tactical ISTAR capability.
