ITEC 2017: AWES update for British Army

Cubic Global Defense has provided details of its Area Weapons Effects Simulator (AWES) component contract, following on from Saab Training Systems' announcement that they had secured a three-year contract extension for the British Army's Direct Fire Weapon Effects Simulator (DFWES) in April.

The company has received a three-year contract award worth more than $35 million to continue supporting the British Army to deliver services and repairs to AWES on Salisbury Plain Training Area (SPTA) in the UK and at the British Army Training Unit Suffield (BATUS) in Alberta, Canada.

AWES and DFWES are combined to provide the British Army
