BAE Systems has selected Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) to integrate its VBS3 and VBS IG into Australia’s Advanced Air Defence Simulator (AADS).
The AADS is used by the Australian Defense Force (ADF) to train on the RBS-70 surface to air missile system.
The AADS trainer is displayed on a 5m dome via 27 projectors. The architecture involves using VBS3 as the host, scenario generator and instructor operating station. VBS IG will be used to drive the dome and binoculars, allowing an operator to work with his team, including at least one team member with a set of binoculars.
