SOFIC 2017: ​Systematic BMS for operators

Responding to emerging requirements from the SOF community, battle management system (BMS) specialist Systematic has revealed plans to create a dedicated ensemble for operators and dismounted close combat personnel.

Speaking to Shephard at the AFCEA Bonn event in Germany on 27 April, company officials explained that they were working closely with Black Diamond Advanced Technology to create a one-stop solution integrated and protected BMS end-user device (EUD), built into a ballistic protection armoured plate carrier, which is also equipped to carry a software-defined radio, connectors and a battery pack at a minimum.
