SOF seeks expanded SUAS payloads
The US Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) SOFWERX collaboration enterprise is preparing to conduct a Capability Assessment Event focused on expanded mission payloads for small UAS (SUAS). The assessment event, planned for 24-25 September 2019, is the third stage in a program focused on increasing the flexibility and capabilities of SOF military information support operations (MISO).
In concert with the USSOCOM Program Executive Office for C4 MISO, SOFWERX is exploring mission payloads that comply to the Expeditionary Organic Tactical Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (AISR) Capability Set (EOTACS)’s systems, which are “group 1” SUAS.
