SOF looks to small UAS

USSOCOM has requested industry information for a spectrum of small unmanned aircraft systems (SUAS) following a sources sought announcement issued on August 7. 

The announcement was made on behalf of USSOCOM’s Program Executive Office – Fixed Wing (PEO-FW) and the project has been dubbed the Expeditionary Organic Tactical Airborne ISR (AISR) Capability Set (EOTACS) of SUAS. 

The RFI notes that PEO-FW, SUAS/EOTACS program manager ‘is seeking industry input to identify potential solutions for each of the EOTACS Family of SUAS (FoSUAS) platforms, payloads, peripherals, software and services.’ 

Adding that the EOTACS FoSUAS will expand the capabilities of the Marine Corps,
