Saab signs Mechanical Mine Sweep contract
Saab will supply components for the Mechanical Mine Sweep TMk9 system to an unnamed customer under a contract announced on 9 October.
The Mechanical Minesweep TMk9 system remains a vital component in modern mine warfare operations. The system is used in sea mine sweeping operations to cut the anchor line of the mine making it surface to be disposed safely.
Agneta Kammeby, head of underwater systems, Saab Dynamics, said: ‘This further proves that Saab has a very strong position and great solutions in the area of Mine Counter Measures.’
Deliveries under this contract will take place during 2015.
