IMDEX Asia: Twenty warships dock for exhibition

Twenty warships from the Asia-Pacific region are tied up at Changi Naval Base for this year’s IMDEX Asia maritime defence exhibition.

Originating from Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and the US, the warships display offers a rare opportunity to get first-hand experience of on-board operations and rub shoulders with senior naval officers from various countries.

Indeed, it is rare to see such a diverse collection of modern warships in one place, including the interesting juxtaposition of a US Navy Los Angeles-class nuclear-powered submarine (USS Pasadena) berthed near a People’s Liberation
