The year ahead: Land programmes in the Americas
The coming year is likely to be as eventful as 2016. The civil war in Syria is ongoing as is the attempt by the Iraqi Army to re-take Mosul and force out ISIS from Iraq.
Meanwhile, Europe is facing a continuing refugee crisis and terrorist attacks on civilians with the use of trucks and lone gunmen. On its Eastern border, Russia remains belligerent but is acting to the extent of its military and economic powers, so one wonders how long this can last.
For the defence industry it is important to bear all this in mind as they face 2017.
