UkrOboronProm to expand Malyshev facility
UkrOboronProm (UOP) will refurbish its production facilities at the Malyshev plant, the enterprise announced on 26 April.
The facility will also house a new light armoured vehicle manufacturing line to meet requirements of the Ukrainian armed forces and export customers.
UOP is currently fulfilling multiple contracts for the Ukrainian armed forces, and has recently completed work on a contract for the Royal Thai Army. New contracts signed in 2018 have enabled the company to expand its production facilities.
Pavlo Bukin, director general of UkrOboronProm, said: ‘A great deal of work was done on modernisation of the armoured vehicles for the armed forces of Ukraine, and the Thai contract, which is now completed – this is one of the opportunities for the enterprise development.
‘This work influences financial performance of the Malyshev plant, and we are looking forward to further development of the enterprise.’
