Ukraine resumes Thai armour deliveries
After a two-year pause, the Ukrainian arms export company, Ukroboronprom, has resumed BTR-3 armoured personnel carriers (APCs) deliveries to Thailand.
A batch of BTR-3s were accepted at the manufacturer’s premises in Ukraine in late February and then shipped by sea to Thailand. The batch consists of 27 units, including the baseline E1 troop transport version and the RK missile-armed anti-tank version.
Three contracts have been signed so far by the Thai defence ministry for the procurement of seven different BTR-3 versions, manufactured by the Kiev Armour Plant. The total number of APCs covered by these contracts is 238 at
