Turkey to deploy S-400 next month
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed that Turkey will begin deploying the S-400 air missile defence system from April 2020.
His comments were made during a press conference with President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on 6 March.
The two countries signed an agreement for the shipment of the defence system in September 2017 which was worth $2.5 billion. The first delivery was made in July 2019.
This triggered unease from the US and other NATO members, prompting the expulsion of Turkey from the F-35 programme.
