The Australian Army will begin receiving the first deliveries of the General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems’ upgraded MK47 40mm Advanced Lightweight Grenade Launcher (ALGL) with integrated Fire Control System in July, company officials have divulged.
According to Jeffrey Gramse, Senior Business Development Manager at GDOTS, a total of 222 weapon systems will be delivered to the army over a 12-month period, complete with tripod mounts designed to deliver lethal effects for ground force operations.
The news follows a contract signed with the Australian Defence Force in July 2015, Gramse explained.
