Pelican BioThermal has secured its first significant military orders for its Golden Medic field blood transport container.
According to Adam Tetz, director of marketing for the company said they had received an order for about 100 units from ‘one of the US military special operations forces groups.’
The prototype Golden Medic was unveiled at SOFIC in 2015 and is a smaller case design that will carry a smaller amount of blood for a shorter period of time compared to the larger Golden Hour variant.
