SOFEX 2018: Workhorse of the German Army rehomed in Jordan
With the ex-German Army Marder 1A3s now making a home in Jordan, Rheinmetall says it has plenty of stock left of the IFV for other nations interested in the platform.
The Jordanian armed forces have received a total of 50 of the vehicles from Rheinmetall after a government-to-government agreement with Germany, with two of the 50 designated driver trainer vehicles.
The first batch of 25 was delivered in 2016 and the second batch this year with more to come, Oliver Mittelsdorf, senior VP sales, tracked vehicles and turrets, at Rheinmetall told Shephard.
