SOFEX 2016: The pistol-packing Caracal
Abu Dhabi-based small arms producer Caracal International used the SOFEX exhibition to showcase its 9mm Caracal Enhanced F semi-automatic pistol.
Redesigned in 2014 and launched as a new product last year, the pistol replaces the existing Caracal F.
The Enhanced F pistol has already been delivered to the UAE Armed Forces and another undisclosed customer.
Although superficially similar to the original model, the Enhanced F is a fundamentally new weapon that has been tested beyond NATO standards, according to the company.
