Saab presents mockup of new mobile RBS 70 NG air defence launcher
Saab Dynamics has unveiled a full scale mockup of its RBS 70 NG (New Generation) RWS short range air defence (SHORAD) missile launcher at its facility in Karlskoga, Sweden.
Saab is marketing the RBS 70 NG RWS in combination with its new Giraffe X radar as the 'perfect mobile SHORAD' solution. Michael Höglund, head of marketing and sales within Saab Dynamic's Missile Systems business area, cited India, Norway, Sweden, the UK, and the USA as among 'many' countries planning to strengthen their short and very short range air defence capabilities over the next decade.
