New vehicles for Russian NBC troops
The Russian Ministry of Defence announced on 11 November that the Nuclear, Biological, Chemical (NBC) Protection regiment of the Eastern military district is being equipped with new multi-purpose decontamination vehicles.
The first batch of ARS-14KM vehicles has been delivered to the regiment, located in the Amur region.
The vehicle is based on the Kamaz 43114, and is designed for a range of roles including degasation, deactivation and decontamination of military hardware and armament; as well as firefighting and aerosol screening missions.
Personnel are currently in the process of being trained on the new vehicles.
