Russia inks contract for T-90 upgrades
The Russian MoD has signed a contract with Uralvagonzavod for the upgrade of T-90A MBTs to the new standard dubbed the T-90M.
Details of the contract were revealed at the Army-2019 defence exhibition held in Kubinka near Moscow. It will cover the upgrade of 100 existing T-90As and comes in a package with another two large-scale contracts awarded to Uralvagonzavod.
This first of these calls for delivery of 120-mm 2S12A Sani self-propelled mortars installed on a wheeled chassis, while the second one covers development of UGVs for a range of combat applications.
