Rostec takes over Russian armour production
A new Russian armour holding company will be established that combine the country’s largest tank and armoured vehicle manufacturers.
It will build on the existing capabilities of Uralvagonzavod and Kurganmashzavod, whereby 100% of Uralvagonzavod, Kurganmashzavod and some Russian research institutions in the field of defence and military will be transferred to the ownership of Rostec.
Rostec is a Russian state holding company, which brings together 663 military industrial entities from their current owner, Concern Tractor Plants (CTP).
