Rheinmetall announces Fieldguard 3 order
Rheinmetall has received an order to supply additional Fieldguard 3 systems to an unnamed international customer, the company announced on 4 December.
The order falls under a framework contract issued in 2012. Rheinmetall began deliveries of the system in May 2015 and will complete by September 2016.
Fieldguard 3 is a fire control measuring system with a range of up to 100km. The system was originally developed with Avibras to track the Astros 2020 multiple rocket launcher system.
