Future Spanish armoured vehicles will feature innovative capabilities
In order to face ongoing and future battlefield threats, the Spanish Army plans to operate armoured vehicles equipped with innovative capabilities and disruptive technologies. These platforms will also provide protection, mobility and firepower.
Col Jose Miguel Garcia, head of the Center for Future Force 2035 (Fuerza 2035) of the Spanish Army, explained that these platforms should use emerging technologies.
Speaking on 4 February, during the ‘Future Trends for Armoured Vehicles’ webinar conducted by IDS Connect, Garcia stressed that armies will need to integrate armoured vehicles with many sensors and systems, such as C2, weapons and communications, which will facilitate identifying targets and accelerate
