Poland one step closer to HIMARS procurement
Poland is now a step closer to acquiring a new rocket artillery system as the US Congress gave the Polish government a permit to buy the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) in January 2019.
The HIMARS acquisition programme, which will be known as HOMAR in Poland, follows a determination approving the potential FMS announced on 29 November 2018. Congressional approval came on 14 January 2019.
