Patria AMV28A completes first amphib tests
Patria has completed the first amphibious testing of its AMV28A vehicle in the Hanko area in southern Finland.
Two vehicles completed swimming tests, one in test configuration with full amphibious weight of 28 tonnes and the other one equipped with Kongsberg Protector MCT-30 turret with some payload capacity available, according to the company.
The company initially unveiled the vehicle at IDEX 2017 in Abu Dhabi as its looks to the UAE’s requirement for replacement of its Russian-built BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle. The company has confirmed that the vehicle could be fitted with the turret from the BMP-3 vehicle.
