Panus R600 conducts first field test in Thailand
Panus Assembly unveiled its R600 8x8 armoured vehicle during its first field test at the Royal Thai Army’s (RTA) vehicle testing range in Kanchanaburi Province on 28 August.
During its field testing, the R600 completed various tests such as slope climbing, crossing sandy and muddy terrain as well as water, climbing obstacles and driving cross-country to evaluate its engine and chassis.
The next phase will see installation of a weapon system, which is expected to be Aselsan’s Nefer unmanned turret with a 30mm automatic cannon. The R600 can carry various kinds of weapon depending on customer requirements.
