Oshkosh awarded contract for US, FMS tactical vehicles
Oshkosh has been awarded a $320 million contract modification for the supply of its Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) for US and foreign military sales (FMS) customers.
The FMS customers are Argentina, Djibouti, Iraq, Lebanon and Romania, and work for the FMTV contract will be carried out in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, with an estimated completion date of 24 August 2021.
Fiscal 2019 foreign military sales and other army procurement funds totalling the $320 million were allocated at the time of the award.
Oshkosh has also been awarded a $7.1 million contract modification to incorporate a noise reduction-muffler engineering change proposal into the baseline configuration of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle family of vehicles.
This has an estimated completion date of 30 April 2021, and the full funds were allocated at the time of the award.
The US Army Contracting Command in Warren, Michigan, is the contracting activity for both contracts.
