MSPO 2015: Homar-ing in on Polish MLRS
Poland’s HOMAR multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) artillery procurement programme has moved to the next phase.
The RfP was released in June with companies responding in July. While this is quite a tight timeframe, the specifications from the Polish MoD were for a mature, existing, combat-proven system so this should not take too long.
One contender for HOMAR, Lockheed Martin, told Shephard at the MSPO exhibition in Kielce, Poland that the company was working with a Polish consortium led by HSW (part of the Polish Armaments Group – PGZ) to meet the Polish industry participation requirement.
