LAAD 2019: Guarani vehicle programme slogs on
Iveco continues to deliver the Guarani 6x6 VBTP to the Brazilian Army and has showcased the vehicle with the Remax 12.7/7.62mm Remote Controlled Weapon Stations (RCWS) at LAAD 2019.
At LAAD 2017 Shephard reported that deliveries of the Guarani had slowed from the intended 100 vehicle build per year to around 50-60 per year.
According to a spokesperson from Iveco Defence Vehicles this is now up to 80 vehicles per year and will remain steady for years to come.
To date around 400 6x6 have been delivered to Brazil as well as 16 export variants to Lebanon.
