IWI launches new sight for TAVOR, X95 assault rifles
Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) has introduced a new foldable, detachable, stainless steel sight designed for the TAVOR and X95 families of assault rifles, the company announced on 22 September.
The sight has been designed to function as a standard sight connected via Picatinny rails, and will be supplied as part of TAVOR and X95 rifles packages. Platforms include additional back-up sights built into the Picatinny rails.
The sight, which meets military standards, is removable to allow for the installation and use of reflex sights, telescopes, and night vision devices. Enabling night shooting via built-in Tritium illumination, the new stainless steel sight is also available without Tritium lighting, in order to meet specific customer regulations and requirements.
According to the company, the sight has been developed for reduced maintenance expenses, with each sight able to be individually replaced when needed; and calibration requires no special tools, and is unaffected by sight detachment.
