Israel to get more Trophy protection
Israel has given the green light to equip all of its new main battle tanks and armoured personnel carriers with Trophy active protection systems, it has been announced.
Hundreds more Trophy systems – developed by Rafael – will be acquired by the Israeli Ministry of Defence with the aim of equipping every Merkava 4 MBT and Namer APC coming into service.
Rafael announced on 10 November that the Israeli MoD director general had ordered the Directorate of Production and Procurement (DOPP) to buy the additional systems.
