Ireland orders RBS 70 missiles
Saab has received a $5.81 million order from the Irish Defence Force for its RBS 70 Bolide missiles, the company announced on 12 December.
Bolide is a fourth generation, all-target very short range air defence missile. With a range of over 9km and with altitude coverage of up to 5,000m, Bolide gives the RBS 70 the ability to provide protection from a wide range of threats including fixed and rotary wing aircraft, cruise missiles and UAS.
Delivery of the systems will take place in 2019-2022.
