Indo Defence 2018: IAI wins $550m air defence systems contract in Asia

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has become the successful bidder for a $550 million contract providing an air defence system to the army of an undisclosed Asia-Pacific nation.

Following an announcement on 29 October, IAI has confirmed it will be providing the unnamed country with its Sky Capture command-and-control (C2) technology for antiaircraft systems in order to transform the customer’s legacy air defence systems.

The C2 system provides accurate target data for interceptors and manages threat and firing detection in an optimal manner according to the target type.
