Hydrogen for vehicles jumps forward
A joint venture between General Motors (GM) and Honda has been set up for the mass production of a hydrogen fuel cell systems for vehicles.
The Fuel Cell System Manufacturing (FCSM) joint venture, announced on 30 January, comes just days after a hydrogen generation workshop brought the US Army and other government experts together to discuss the use of such technology.
The US Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) has been working with GM for some time now on the development of hydrogen fuel cell technologies through its ZH2 Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV).
