German Army trains with new G22A2 sniper rifles
German Army sniper leaders are taking part in a pilot course to learn how to use the G22A2 sniper rifle, as the modernised weapons begin to make their way into the hands of the German Armed Forces in large numbers.
The G22A2 is the modernised version of the G22 and G22A1 models produced by manufacturer Accuracy International, which is under contract to deliver 780 of the upgraded rifles.
Images of the training with the G22A2 at the Infantry Training Centre in Hammelburg, Bavaria, were released on 28 January on the German Army’s website.
