The Turkish Army’s Anti-Tank Vehicle (ATV) programme is progressing with the debut of the PARS 4x4 prototype platform ahead of qualification trials with the service.

Domestic manufacturer FNSS, the prime contractor for the ATV programme, unveiled the prototype at this year’s Eurosatory 2018 in Paris.

The PARS 4x4 ATV began verification tests in May and is expected to begin qualification tests shortly, with the project scheduled to be completed in 2021.

The company’s Anti-Tank Remote Controlled Turret (ARCT) will act as the 4x4’s primary weapon system, firing two anti-tank guided missiles and supported by a 7.62mm machine gun.
