Eurosatory 2018: More details emerge on Nexter's VBMR-L

The industry team responsible for delivering the French Army’s new VBMR Light 4x4 have revealed more details about the clean-sheet platform, which is being procured under France’s ambitious Scorpion modernisation programme.

The VBMR-L is being purchased alongside two other vehicles; the 6x6 VBMR Griffon and 6x6 EBRC Jaguar. Company sources noted that a name for the VBMR-L could be revealed at Eurosatory this year.

Nexter and Texelis were down selected as the preferred bidder for the VBMR-L at the end of 2017, with an official announcement of a contract made a few months later on 12 February. Nexter Systems will
