Elbit Systems bags ATMOS contract
Elbit Systems has been awarded a contract to supply ATMOS long-range artillery systems and command and control systems to an undisclosed Asia-Pacific country, the company announced on 16 August.
The contract, which is valued at $27 million, is a follow-on contract for this customer. It will run for three years.
Under the contract, the company will supply a comprehensive artillery solution, including target acquisition systems, forward observation stations, command stations and self-propelled artillery. Elbit Systems will also provide integrated command and control systems to connect all systems.
The solutions, which will be mounted on a number of wheeled platforms, are designed to improve mission reaction speed, flexibility and survivability of both the system and crew.
Yehuda Vered, general manager, Land and C4I Division, Elbit Systems, said: ‘The customer's decision to order additional quantities under this follow-on contract further enhances Elbit Systems' position as a world leading artillery supplier, with a variety of systems that meet the global demand for light, manoeuvrable and rapid response platforms.’
