DSEI Japan 2019: Mitsubishi pushes forward its MAV
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries exhibited its Mitsubishi Armored Vehicle (MAV), which has been developed using its own funds, at DSEI Japan 2019.
The MAV is based on the Type 16 Manoeuvre Combat Vehicle, and Mitsubishi also exhibited an MAV engine with an output of 570hp.
The MAV has a maximum combat weight of 28t. According to a Mitsubishi spokesman, the company has improved the chassis and engine so that they are slightly different from the Type 16’s.
