DSA 2016: Australia accepts first MAN trucks

Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles Australia (RMMVA) has delivered the first batch of the next-generation military logistic trucks to Australia.

The handover of 12 vehicles took place during an official handover ceremony at Gallipoli Baracks, near Brisbane on 7 April.

The trucks were bought as part of the Project 121 Phase 3B programme, with final delivery expected in 2020.

RMMVA is delivering more than 2,500 military and heavy, protected and unprotected military logistics trucks alongside 3,000 modules from an integration facility in Brisbane. Haulmark is manufacturing and assembling 1,700 trailers at its Rocklea facility in southeast Queensland.
