D&S 2015: Ukraine conflict hits Thai exports
Exports from Ukraine to Thailand are being delayed and a new agreement will amend the delivery schedule.
Ukrspecexport, Ukraine’s state agency responsible for military imports and exports, has admitted delays are occurring in two main sales to Thailand.
Speaking to Shephard at the Defence & Security 2015 exhibition, a senior Ukrspecexport source said the first 2008 contract for BTR-3E1 8x8 armoured personnel carriers (APC) was already fulfilled by the Kharkov Morozov Machine Design Bureau, but a second 2011 contract is facing delays of up to six months. Both contracts are estimated to amount to 236 vehicles.
