Defence Services Asia: Thales advances StarStreak in Asia

Thales is a step closer to supplying its Starstreak air defence system to the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) after formalising a partnership agreement with Weststar Group subsidiary Global Komited.

The signature of the agreement was attended by Malaysian Minister of Defence Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hussein at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) exhibition on 14 April.

Speaking to Shephard at the show, Ian Fuller, regional sales director for Thales UK, said the new partnership was a strategic alliance that would place both companies in a good position to meet the MAF requirement for an integrated air defence system.
