Cook on track with Ajax
Tracks for the British Army’s new Ajax armoured reconnaissance vehicle will be provided by Cook Defence Systems.
The company was selected on 16 December 2015 by prime contractor General Dynamics European Land Systems, which is building the Ajax vehicle, instead of using its existing German track supplier, Diehl.
As a result, Cook will build track for all 589 Ajax vehicles and the seven prototypes. The decision followed a short competition run by GDELS to select a tracks provider.
