CANSEC 2017: New LAV 6.0 variants unveiled
General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada (GDLS-C) showcased two new variants of the LAV 6.0 APC at CANSEC 2017 in Ottawa.
Unveiling the combat support vehicle - ambulance (CSV-A) and the combat support vehicle - maintenance and recovery (CSV-MR) variants, GLDS-C is anticipating the specific requirements set out in Canada’s Armoured Combat Support Vehicle (ACSV) contract.
The ACSV will begin its analysis phase next year with a decision on the programme, worth up to CAD1.5 billion, by 2023.
Speaking to Shephard, GDLS-C corporate affairs manager Doug Wilson-Hodge explained that, whilst the company showcased a modular LAV 6.0 ambulance in 2016,
