UK invests in disruptive vehicle technology
The British Army is keen to provide disruptive technology to its troops and will invest in new equipment, systems and sensors during this year.
An official spokesperson for the UK MoD confirmed to Shephard that the army intends to have UAS, robotic platoon vehicles, autonomous air and ground systems, digital equipment for the dismounted soldier, remote-controlled armoured vehicles, deployable headquarters and information manoeuvre.
Although the spokesperson could not disclose details about the cost of projects, he pointed out that ‘this year the army will invest in a variety of cutting-edge technologies'.
