British Army inches closer to new multi-role vehicles
The UK’s Multi-Role Vehicle Protected (MRV-P) has moved forward as the British government is set to finalise negotiations with the US DoD.
MRV-P is divided into three packages with the first calling for a command, liaison and logistics vehicle to be filled by the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) from Oshkosh Defense, which requires US foreign military sale (FMS) approval.
The UK MoD told Shephard that the next step for this package will be ‘to finalise and complete’ the FMS agreement and that Main Gate approval is expected ‘in early 2018’.
